Dance and Music Lessons

Empowering Youth

The Kumusha Foundation works to enable young children in the San Francisco Bay Area to learn about African culture through after school programs including music and dance classes.

Music and dance are powerful tools to teach children important lessons, such as how to work together, goal-setting, perseverance, creative expression and gratitude. It is also important for students to learn about other cultures to break down barriers, build community and expand their cultural imagination.

In addition to after school programs, the Kumusha Foundation plans to develop a summer camp for children, with a focus on reaching children from vulnerable communities.
